Are you looking for a low-impact exercise that is easy on your joints but still gives you a great workout? Look no further than aqua fitness!

Aqua fitness, also known as water aerobics, is a type of exercise that takes place in a pool. This workout is perfect for those who suffer from joint pain, arthritis, or are recovering from an injury. The buoyancy of the water reduces stress on your joints and makes it easier to move around.

But don’t be fooled by the low-impact nature of aqua fitness – it can still give you a great cardio and strength workout. Here are some examples of exercises you can do in the pool:

    • Water jogging: This is a great way to get your heart rate up and burn calories. Simply jog around the pool, making sure to keep your core engaged and your arms moving.
    • Squats: Stand in the water with your feet shoulder-width apart. Lower your body down into a squat, making sure to keep your knees behind your toes. Push back up to the starting position and repeat.
    • Arm curls: Stand in the water with your arms at your sides, holding a water weight in each hand. Curl your arms up to your shoulders, then lower them back down.
    • Leg lifts: Stand with your back against the side of the pool, holding onto the edge for support. Lift one leg up and hold it for a few seconds, then lower it back down. Repeat with the other leg.
    • Pool noodles: Use a pool noodle to add resistance to your workout. Hold the noodle in front of you and push it down into the water, then pull it back up.

The best part about aqua fitness is that it’s fun! You can do it with friends or in a group class, and the water adds an extra element of playfulness to your workout. So next time you’re looking for a joint-friendly exercise that still gives you a great workout, head to the pool and try some aqua fitness!
